Lead-Safe Certification – 4 Steps

  1. Visual Inspection

    Confirm all paint surfaces are intact. All repairs must be completed before inspection.

  2. Dust Sampling

    Dust samples collected from bedrooms and one common area.

  3. Lab Analysis

    Samples sent to an EPA-approved lab. Results in 2-7 business days.

  4. Certification Issued

    Lead-Safe Certificate, lab report, and filing instructions provided.

What "Lead Safe" Means:
A property is certified "Lead Safe" when dust wipe tests confirm that lead dust levels on floors and windowsills are below the safety limits established by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). This certification is required by your local Public Health Department for many rental properties, especially those built before 1978.
